Two placement paths
The venue policy sets the product boundary.
Age access is reviewed before product selection. An 18+ placement is not treated as a nicotine placement.
Nicotine-eligible assortment
Nicotine products may be considered only when the venue continuously excludes every person under 21. Non-nicotine products may also be included.

North Carolina and federal rules
The stricter rule governs nicotine placements.
North Carolina G.S. § 14-313(b1) addresses vending-machine sales of tobacco and refers to establishments open only to people age 18 or older, along with specified employee-control conditions. Federal FDA retailer requirements separately limit tobacco vending machines to facilities where no person under 21 is present or permitted to enter at any time. NightShift follows the stricter federal 21+ standard for every nicotine-equipped placement.

Inventory is reviewed for applicable federal marketing status, North Carolina requirements, labeling, and supplier documentation.
Original packaging
Age-restricted products remain sealed in manufacturer packaging with required warnings intact and visible.
Operational records
Location, machine, inventory, sales, and service records support traceability and issue response.
Venue controls
Placement depends on the venue maintaining the access policy, security, and conditions agreed before launch.
Ongoing review
